Community One Credit Union will cover your overdrafts in two different ways. We offer Standard Overdraft Practices that come with your account. We also offer Overdraft Protection services, such as a link to a savings account or advance for a personal line of credit, or our Overdraft Privilege Program. Under our Standard Overdraft Practices, C1CU will authorize and pay overdrafts for checks and other transactions made using your checking account number and automatic bill payments. We will not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM transactions and everyday check card transactions, unless you ask us to do so by “opting in” for protection.

If Community One Credit Union pays your overdraft, under our Standard Overdraft Practices, we will charge you a fee each time we pay an overdraft. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.

ONLINE BILL PAY

Once your Online Banking is in place, you can also sign up to add our Online Bill Pay. It's a great tool to manage both your time and your money. This service allows you to pay all of your bills from a secure website. There's no remembering multiple passwords and jumping around to multiple websites to pay your bills. Plus, it integrates with our Online Banking Service to give you a complete history of your spending.

This service is ten times safer than sending personal checks in the mail. You can pay bills in two simple steps:

  • Add a Payee (any merchant or person you need to pay)
  • Schedule a Payment

Online Bill Pay saves you money. When you estimate the cost of personal checks, envelopes, stamps and trips to the post office, studies suggest that you can save up to $150 each year by using this service. In addition, there are no fees involved with Community One's Online Bill Pay as long as you continue to use the service within 45 days.

Apple Pay™ - Pay With A Single Touch!

Community One Credit Union now offers Apple Pay™ services! Apple Pay allows you to pay for purchases with your iPhone6, iPhone 6Plus, or Apple Watch by holding your device near a contactless reader at participating merchants.

You can also use your iPad Air® and iPad Mini™ to pay within certain apps!

Apple Pay™ transactions do not store your actual card numbers. instead, it assigns an encrypted number to process your payment. Your actual credit or debit card numbers are never shared by Apple with merchants or transmitted for payment. Before getting started, make sure that your iPhone or Apple device has the latest version of IOS (8 or higher).

HOW TO MAKE C1CU DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD YOUR DEFAULT PAYMENT CARD:

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone
  • Tap Passbook & Apple Pay™
  • Tap on Default Card & select your Community One Credit Union Debit or Credit Card.

NOTE: The debit or credit card number will need to be verified by C1CU before activation. You will be prompted to call the credit union after you register through the app.

HOW TO USE APPLE PAY™ IN STORES:

  • Look for the contactless and Apple Pay™ symbol at the register 
  • Hold your phone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID™
  • Keep your phone by the contactless reader until it vibrates and beeps indicating your payment was accepted
